Approximately 55 lawyers in Dufferin County, most of whom have offices in Orangeville or Shelburne, as well as a few members with offices in Peel Region.

The association was incorporated by Letters Patent June 13, 1927. In 2005, the library moved from its quarters in the new part of the courthouse (actually an addition that had been built on to the county building) into an older wing that had just been renovated.
The library has 5 reading tables, accommodating about 10 users at any given time, in addition to two computer work stations. A TV/VCR is available for use in the library. Robing rooms are adjacent.
